New residential build, aging in place

Description	We were approached by these homeowners with a blank slate and nothing but dreams and a building lot with an amazing river view. They had recently retired and sold their farm so age in place concepts were a priority as well as minimal maintenance. We designed the floor plan to maximize the river views from the main living areas and master bedroom. The back alley access made for a step free access so the entire main floor, including garage is on the same level. It was important that everything is on the main floor so the owners don’t have to go down the stairs as they age, the basement has guest rooms, storage room, play area for grandchildren and a kitchenette.
